DANCE PROJECTS
AM27
by Javier Guerrero
AM27 is an exploration of some of the great utopian projects of the 20th century; set in an indeterminate space, built on the ruins of an extinct and disappeared process.
We think that nature belongs to us, without realizing that it is rather us who belong to her.
Through a fragmentary narrative in the form of collage, we navigate through these utopian places with the ephemeral intention that, everything we believe in will disappear at any given moment.

Dolorosa de los Llanos is the Latinoamerican-born Barcelona-based LaCerda's collective peregrination in the search of their origins, their relationship with folklore and their South-American roots, still presents in their imigrant, euro-residents and contemporary bodies.

The piece focusses on the ritual of a religious procession in the Latinoamerican mountains, the act of walking as a symbol of faith and submission, they walk, but...
Where do they go? What is the goal of their devotion?

Stupid Dreamers
by Javier Guerrero

Stupid Dreamers is about that place many left one day long time ago. It's about a "promise of happiness" which was always unattended. That place one eventually returns to, knowing themselves different. But knowing as well that they are no longer from here, nor are they from there. They can only be sheltered in this place and receive the heat. Their idea of that place has been transformed, until a certain point where everything they once hated is now gone. And now they reflect if they should never have left? Or maybe they should have never returned..."

Microwave
by Helga + Louisa
Microwave is about trying to break patterns, putting own perception to test and projecting new perspectives on familiar images by transforming everyday movements, sounds, images and feelings and applying new concepts to them.
Different sounds, like the one of a toaster, a bag of chips, the click of a ballpoint pen or the ringing of a microwave, can eventually become music, in the same way that the constant repetition of a same frequency cause discomfort.
Starting with a music composition made with a loop-machine, a dance performance was created in where, - as in a dream - scenarios blur, two bodies emerge from a shadow creature and begin to fly through the air.
